Zbigniew Waszkielewicz – actor, director, pedagogue, animator of culture.
Graduated from the Department of Acting of the State College of Drama (PWST) in Cracow in 1974. After 12 years of professional experience as actor and also director in the drama theatres (Ziemia Pomorska Theatre in Grudziądz, Jaracz Theatre in Olsztyn, Solski Theatre in Tarnow, Wyspiański Silesian Theatre in Katowice) he started his own activity under the name IOTA Theatre.
In 1995 he moved the IOTA Theatre from Katowice to Radzie village located in Mazury, where he settled down. On the 10 hectare land he organises outdoor spectacles, theatrical and interdisciplinary workshops.

Apart from his own creative work, he also occupies himself with art education:

In Katowice, he conceived a programme formula for the festival ‘Meetings of Vision and ImageTheatre’, acting as an art director of the event’s three consecutive editions (1986, 1988, 1991), for which he was awarded with a Golden Mask.

An author, director and producer of the project “The Great Lakes Outdoor Meetings” Mazury Festival, an aftermath of the second-place award of S. Batory Foundation Competition for the best cultural projects for a local community (2000-2001).

With IOTA Theatre he participated in many festivals, among them:
- in Poland – Meetings of Vision and Image Theatre in Katowice, Art Festival "Fortalicje" (Zamość), Theatrical Meetings in Gliwice, International Festival of the Street Theatre (Jelenia Góra), International Festival of Youth Theatre (Wrocław), Gołdap Stop (Gołdap), Olecko Stop (Olecko), Holiday Festival of Stars (Międzyzdroje) - and abroad: Cultural Spring in Valenciennes (France), "MIMO E DINTORNI", Werona (Italy), "MIMOS" Festival, Praque (Czech), Bratysława (Słowacja), "FILO" Festival, Londrina (Brazylia), "MIMOS" Festival, Perigueux (France)
